I can't wait until 2009 when the new cents are released. I've been hoarding as many wheat cents as I can because I know they will go up in value. First time the cent has been changed since 1909…well 1959 the memorial was put on the back. I am hoarding S mint mark memorial cents too. I think Eisenhower dollars are undervalued. I remember when they were easy to get at the bank just at the beginning of this decade, but now they're getting increasingly hard to find and on ebay they even go for almost $2 each sometimes. I think they will go up even more soon.

Jefferson nickels seem to be undervalued in high grades. It is amazing I can get a set of mint state silver war nickels in a capital plastics holder for around $100. Nice type coins in grades of VF to AU seem to be low also. With more people collecting and not being able to finish say the Lincoln cents due to the price of the key and semi keys they will have to go someplace and a 20th century type set is a good place and can be finished even if the coin budget is low. When the state quarter thing is over will people still be interested or will the millions that collect only them, go to some other hobby? A lot of coin of the Civil war period are way under priced. The only one that has really gone up is the 1861 Indian Head cent. The coins that will be rare in the future will be mint state clad coins, for no one saved them by the roll except the state quarters that have huge mintage's. They are starting to climb now look at what the want for the quarters of the 1980's by the roll. I have collected what I liked over the years not what I thought would make me money and have done better in the long run than a lot of so called investors. I read a lot on what I collect, so I know more about the varieties than the dealers.
