I just found today a penny minted in 1946, with the wheat around it and a 's' below the date. Abraham Lincoln on the dated side and ' One Cent ' on the other with the wheat circling. Any idea on what it might be worth ? Not a coin collector myself, but this seems pretty cool.

Probably some where around 50 cents, to get a better more accurate price take it to several collector shops in your area.

Honestly, it's worth nothing but a penny. Maybe if it was mint and graded, you might get $7
It's a very common year.

Here is a link that gives the value of coins. A 1946 S penny (means it was minted in San Francisco) is worth only about 4 cents according to this site. I agree that it is cool though, and if you save it, who knows how much it will be worth in 20 years!
